Kudos and Worldwide Media Mentions
|
|
These pages are dedicated to all the travelling women around the
world who have contributed their female-centered travel tips, stories
and encouraging feed-back to Journeywoman Magazine and Journeywoman
Online. Without your terrific input, advice and networking, this
website and the publication's awards would not exist.
Thanks, too, to all the journalists around the world, both men
and women, who have seen fit to recommend Journeywoman in their
travel columns, articles and guidebooks as well as on their television
and radio broadcasts. Your assistance in establishing the Journeywoman
Network as a worldwide entity has been invaluable.
Thank you! Thank-you! Thank-you!

| Two years running, Journeywoman has won the Apex
Award of Excellence in small magazine publishing. Awards are based
on overall excellence in graphic design and editorial content.
What made Journeywoman a winner?
"Journeywoman is a magazine whose editor clearly understands
the publication's editorial objective. Nothing in it is
fluff or off-target material. Interesting packed layout.
Contains useful information, short items and tidbits. Informative
feature articles and excellent resource material. Even the
ads are interesting and well-integrated into the publication.
This is a publication well worth "stealing" ideas from!"

APEX '98 Tenth Annual Awards for Publication Excellence
This year there were 354 entries in the Website division of
the Apex Awards -- recognition based on excellence in both graphic
design and editorial content. We're pleased to announce that Journeywoman
Online is one of the 1998 winners in this category.
What made the Journeywoman site a winner
To begin, The actual subject of the site -- "Female-centered
travel" is an original and helpful one. In terms of content, this
website has a unique friendliness and practicality to it. The
information is organized so well and features "get right down
to it." In regard to form -- Journeywoman is a nice model of simplicity
(no unnecessary five color graphics) with articles appearing exactly
where you expect them to appear. Excellent organization!
