Vancouver and Richmond
Looking for delicious dim sum? My favorite is Sun Sui
Wah Seafood Restaurant in Vancouver or Richmond, BC locations.
Vancouver: 3888 Main Street. Richmond: 102 - 4940 No. 3 Road,
Richmond, BC. Serving dim sum 10-3 but I like to go around 11:00
a.m. On weekends, especially Sundays, there will usually be a
wait for a table. The Vancouver restaurant is large and upstairs.
I never have any difficulty finding street parking and there is
frequent Main Street bus service. The Richmond site is street
level and easily accessible by car or a short bus ride over the
Oak Street bridge from Vancouver to Richmond. Both restaurants
offers lots of dim sum choices, including my favorite, loh mai
(rice mixture wrapped in leaves). Phone
numbers of the restaurants are: Vancouver 604-872-8822. Richmond
604-273-8208.

Has anyone in Vancouver mentioned the landmark Pink Pearl
on East Hastings Street yet? Its always packed with Chinese families.
I've been going there for 22 years and continue to go back after
checking out newer places on the scene. I take out of town guests
there and they always enjoy the experience and the cuisine. Address:
1132 E. Hastings St.Tel: 253-4316

Yes! My vote is for the Pink Pearl. Open for
the last 25 years, this huge (seats 600) restaurant has offered
its guests a wide assortment of tasty dishes. At lunchtime, the
place hums with activity as patrons sample the tempting dishes
from the dim sum carts which are pushed from table to table. Definitely
recommended for both dim sum connoisseurs and those new to the
experience for its wide selection of dim sum and the opportunity
to see and select the small treats from the moving carts. Website:

Another vote for Pink Pearl! In Vancouver, BC there are tons of
Chinese restaurants. One that stands out among the rest is Pink
Pearl Chinese Seafood Restaurant. The address is 1132
East Hastings. The dimsum here, as all other menu items, is simply
mouth-watering and awe-inspiring!! Note: the location is not conducive
to walking around, as it's not in a safe area of the city, so
it would be best to take a taxi to the restaurant.

Another for Pink Pearl. I would like recommend the Pink
Pearl Chinese Restaurant in Vancouver, BC as my fave
dim sum dining experience. It's authentic Chinese cuisine and
the atmosphere makes you feel like you're actually in China. The
restauant holds over 1,000 people and runs like a little city.
Trolley's of edible delights in steaming wicker baskets roll by
every few minutes - a dining adventure.

My suggestion for Dim Sum in Vancouver Canada is Floata

largest Chinese restaurant". The dim sum is tasty and authentic,
my favourite dishes are: sticky rice wrap, BBQ pork bun and gua
lan.

My vote goes to a Buddhist vegetarian dim sum restaurant, Bo
Kong in Vancouver. It's at 3068 Main St., Vancouver,
Canada. Wheat gluten is used instead of meat. Lots of your favourite
dim sum goodies made without meat; some unusual items that aren't
found in regular dim sum restaurants. The best lo bak ko I've
ever had.
