When I travel around the world
I always consider it a bonus to have restaurant recommendations
from local women. Females generally understand what other females
look for in an eating establishment -- especially when one is
travelling solo. With that concept in mind, Journeywoman included
the following item in their recent travel tip newsletter. It read...
| NEIGHBOURHOOD RESTAURANTS
-- No matter where we live, we all have a favorite neighbourhood
restaurant to meet with best friends -- a place away from
the maddening crowds to enjoy pleasant food at moderate
prices. In 150 words or less we ask that you please share
that hometown eatery with our Journeywoman Network. Your
contribution will be a fabulous bit of advice for a woman
travelling to your part of the world. If you've never tried
to contribute a tip before, this is a perfect opportunity
to see your 'name in lights' at Journeywoman.com. Don't
worry about writing style, spelling, etc. We'll take care
of all that. Address your e-mail to: editor@journeywoman.com.
Put 'hometown food' in the subject line and... thank you
so much, everybody! |
The response to our appeal
was immediate and heartwarming. In fact, suggestions still continue
to arrive by e-mail and we will post your new women-friendly restaurant
tips on an ongoing basis. Just use the e-mail address link above.
