I traveled in Yemen. In order not to offend and to get more respect, cover your hair with a scarf, wear loose long dresses with leggings under the dress. Also try a black sharsha (long, loose, coat-like covering), gloves & face veil. It feels a bit mysterious and it is a good way to blend in.
