Letters to the Editor
In the three years that we've published female-friendly travel information in magazine form, we've received wonderfully encouraging notes from around the world. Now that we've begun publishing online only, the notes continue by e-mail. The following is a sampling (from magazine & website) of what our readers' impressions have been to date. Please keep your comments coming to editor@journeywoman.com As a Canadian diplomat now resident in Sydney, Australia, my job has required over the years a large amount of travel to and/or extended stays in countries around the world. I am aware of many travel resources but I really do believe that at the level of practical advice Journeywoman is one of the very best -- for women AND men. Ask my wife, who continually has to wrestle her copy of Journeywoman out of my hands... I feel that anyone looking for solid counsel and travel tips in far-flung places should turn to Journeywoman without fail. I've waited years for this (Journeywoman). Can't thank you enough, and will be passing it on to all my friends. Keep up the great work! It is a pleasure to read all the experiences from other (Journeywoman) friends who love traveling. And.... I love your TOP TEN TIPS ... very very much... What a great resource for women! I love your site, and having just produced a site of my own (on travel to India/Nepal with kids), I thought I would let you know I've linked to your site -- definitely one of my favorites! Journeywoman is a fabulous site. Congratulations. You have a wonderful website where I have roamed aimlessly but enthusiastically like Ulysess on the ocean in search of adventure. I have been a travel agent for 15 years and I have never seen anything like your Journeywoman website. I have clicked back and forth most of the day reading the different sites and laughing at some of the stories. I must admit I thought the advice on deodorant under the breasts and money in the push-up bra were brilliant!...I assure you I will share this new "find" with all of the women travelers here and with my co-horts in the agency. Now that I am a member of the Journeywomen network - I guess I've just made 160,000 new friends! As a middle-aged single traveller, budget style, I was very excited to find your site. I've back-packed through Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand, and taught English at Charles University in Prague. At last I found a whole group of common souls. It's good to know you're there. A sincere thanks for your wonderful e-zine. I have become a devoted reader and have e-mailed the link to more than 20 or so of my acquaintances and they love it as well. Here's to another upcoming great year in 1999! |
